Lasers in Esthetic Dentistry

Recorded November 14, 2025

Soft tissue diode lasers have become effective and useful in helping clinicians achieve restorative success in the esthetic zone. When periodontal surgery or osseous recontouring are not an option, lasers play an important role in shaping tissue to achieve better esthetic outcomes. This course is a discussion about when to consider laser gingival contouring when working on anterior teeth.

Course Objectives:
  • Learn the basics of diode lasers.
  • Learn to identify when gingival recontouring can be performed without altering the osseous crest.
  • Learn to incorporate lasers into conservative treatment plans for anterior teeth.
